One of my personal goals for this year is to be a better communicator. Let me clarify. I love getting together 1-1 with people, whether that's with students, ministry supporters, or friends (some of you fit into multiple categories!). But lets face it, that's A LOT of 1-1's and what about the folks who don't live in town? Do they just get the shaft??? I say, "no way jose!"
Hence this blog. It will take some discipline on my part to get into the habit of regular and frequent updates, but my hope is that it can be an effective means of sharing my musings on life and ministry. When this first started (back in July), I intended to write an entry a week. Without my needing to mention it, detailed readers have probably already noted the long stretch between my first entry and these following. It was a tumultuous summer (more on that in my next post) and hey, I did say keeping this updated was going to take some personal discipline! Please be patient and gracious with me. :) If you find that I haven't updated in awhile, feel free to give me a poke -- sometimes that's what I need.
Please forgive the impersonal nature of blogging (I don't care how hi-tech the world gets, nothing will replace direct human contact), it seems to be unavoidable. Though if anyone has suggestions, pass them along!
