The World Gathers

Imagine...

650 Christian leaders from 150 countries gathering to celebrate what God is doing on campuses around the WORLD.

What would that be like?

Report from a staff colleague attending World Assembly:

I’m finding it difficult to describe my first few days here at World Assembly. To say that it is a unique experience feels like a cheap expression and dramatically understates the atmosphere. I am indeed in the midst of a great cloud of witnesses of the faith.
To give you a picture of the truly international community I’m experiencing let me share briefly about my small group. Each person is from a different country: Singapore, Nepal, Uruguay, Brazil, Ukraine, Georgia, Kenya, and Switzerland. A couple of the members of my group are the General Secretaries (or presidents) of their movements. Within this group alone I’ve heard stories of government persecution, post-war obstacles, and staff teams of less than 15 leading 20,000 students. Their stories are powerful, but what is more powerful is the faithfulness of God and the unique way that He draws students of every nation to Himself.
If this weren’t enough to process, the plenaries sessions filled with multi-cultural worship, testimonies of God’s work across the globe, and the stories of the suffering many have experienced to see the gospel proclaimed have hit me at a whole new level. We truly worship a powerful and loving God....
