What did students have to about last month's Greek Conference?

What impacted you the most?

“Discussions on how others feel God has impacted their lives, building relationships with them through related opinions on drinking and relationships.”

“Learning that is about the baby steps I take in my movement towards a renewed faith."

“Being around everyone”

“The openness in my discussion groups. Especially the alcohol segment. It’s something we all face, so it was VERY refreshing to be in an environment where people were being real”

In what areas is God speaking to you?

“Letting go of a bittersweet past and asking for redemption in that area, for not only the things I’ve done but for the things that hold me back.”

“I realized in the sex and dating section that I probably more often than not use my body as a power over guys, because I feel powerless otherwise.”

“I think God is showing me that I am not alone—that it is possible to thrive as a Christian in the Greek community.”

“Knowing that it is okay to not be perfect. I don’t need to focus on being better but having a better relationship with Christ and the rest will fall into place.”

“I need God with me in everything I do to truly thrive."

What next steps do you want to take?

“I want to make a lot of changes in my life right now. I don’t want the urge to drink and want God to help give me the strength that I need to do that.”

“To ask for help from him when I need it—and for healing.”

“I want to mend my heart to be whole again. I want to be living filled with the Spirit. I want to restore my morality.”

“I need to pray not for a specific want, but to open my life up to God’s will. Reach out more to my fellow Christian Greeks.”

“Stop trying to be someone else. Focus everything on God instead of myself.”

“I feel a calling to do more with my faith for the other people in my life and explaining to them the changes I make and why I do so.”
